RIGHTS AND PERMISSIONS
Q: How do I obtain permission to reprint copyrighted material?
A: Written permission is required to reprint or reproduce material from Kaplan Publishing. Your request to use material should be as complete as possible. Please include all the following information (as applicable):
Information about the material you wish to use from our book/product:
- Title and full name of the author of our book/product
- ISBN (the number which appears on the back cover above the bar code)
- Year of publication (optional)
- The exact material which you’d like to use, including page numbers, and approximate number of words
- The way in which you’d like to use the material. Please provide a photocopy of our material in context (i.e., pages from your manuscript showing material used), if possible.
Information about your project in which the material is to be used:
- Title and author of your book
- Your publisher’s name. You must have a publisher before we can grant you permission.
- Expected publication date
- Format of your book (hardcover, paperback, ebook, website, etc.)
- Estimated print run (total number of copies to be printed)
- Estimated price of your book
- Estimated number of pages
- Territory of distribution (US, US and Canada, World, etc).
- Your name, complete postal address, email address, telephone and fax numbers

Please note that our permission grants are non-exclusive and material must be reproduced verbatim, without alteration, deletion, editing, abridgement or condensation.

Q: How do I buy rights?
A: The Kaplan Publishing Rights Department handles requests for foreign and domestic publication rights including, UK, translation, magazine, newspaper, book club, audio, paperback reprint, hardcover reprint, large print, film, electronic, and other formats.
